“I always try to be the same person everywhere I am.”
I once heard Emily say this, and I will always think about her when it comes to a sincere and passionate desire to be genuine. And she really is.
Emily came into our lives when I found myself on the brink of a summer wedding season with a tiny crawling baby whom I desperately needed help with. I'm confident I couldn't have survived that season without Emily's loving care of my son. She graciously ignored my dirty house and disheveled office space, dealt with baby messes of all kinds, and loved on Knox all the way.
Still, even though I don't get to see her every week, she is a blessing to us and so many others. That person she is "being" is beautiful, kind, thoughtful, and loves the Lord. I am so thankful for a friend who selflessly gives to others, loves coffee, and has great taste. :)
