HOUSEofLOVELY

House of Lovely Kickstarter Project

If you've been around long you've heard me brag on my sister, Lauren, who is the designer of the vintage-inspired bridal line, HOUSEofLOVELY.

One of my favorite designs of hers- a belt for my other sister, Layne! This piece made the look.

Lauren has bravely embarked on a new path with her line and is wanting to take it wholesale. If you have any experience in production/retail, you know this can be a daunting task. Getting the capital for mass production and materials is a challenge- but there is SO much opportunity for her, and I KNOW she can do this!

She has started a Kickstarter project, where you can back her company as an individual, and get a pretty sweet gift as a thank-you from her. Seriously- check out the gifts:

Please visit her Kickstarter site HERE!

The project ENDS July 18, so don't miss out!

I have been consistently blessed by my clients this year- but I had no idea what a blessing it would be to photograph this wedding! From the second we arrived, Buddy, Belinda, and their families were so, so hospitable. As in- we were checked on, helped out, and offered iced lattes (it was 100 degrees outside) at least 5 times before the ceremony. (And you know I took them up on that one!). Haha- really, though- throughout the day it was clear how thoughtful, excited, and loving this family was.

The wedding was held at Belinda's parent's beautiful home in Seminole, Texas. Not only was it a sentimental location, but it was absolutely perfect for the event. Guests were well-fed and enjoyed chatting while watching a gorgeous West Texas sunset. Another thing I loved about this wedding was that there were several different languages being spoken- family and guests from all over the world came in- and you could hear German, Spanish, Portugese, and more! Belinda's mom made some amazing German raspberry cheesecake for Buddy's table- it is a family recipe, and was so delicious.

During their engagement, Buddy was in the process of building a new home (yes, with his own two hands) for the two of them (with Belinda's input, of course)- but he'd worked right up until the day before the wedding to put the final touches on it. I thought this was such a great picture of a bridegroom preparing for his bride- just the way God does for His church.

I so enjoyed photographing all the beautiful florals at this wedding. Essentially, Belinda chose all of her favorites, and the talented ladies at Blumenflor created such beautiful arrangements with them.

The very talented Ashley Rodgers second shot this wedding with me, and some of these images are hers!

Enjoy!

I am so proud to call Lauren, owner of HOUSEofLOVELY, my sister. The custom bridal pieces she creates on a day-to-day basis amaze me and I can vouch for the giant amount of love and creativity she pours into each piece.

I love that the brides who wear a HOUSEofLOVELY piece can know that someone has lovingly sourced, constructed, and perfected it to perfectly compliment their style. The quality of her work and attention to detail amazes me.

I have a lovely giveaway for you all today- and no, this isn't an April Fool's joke! Today's giveaway is from HOUSEofLOVELY.

HOUSEofLOVELY is the creative work of my sister, Lauren Samuels. She specializes in bridal accessories, custom veils, headpieces, and handmade silk flowers.

From her website:

"I believe that every bride should be a custom bride. God has paired you with your custom groom, so why shouldn't you adorn yourself with one-of-a-kind jewels? Song of Solomon 2 says, "like a lily among the thorns, so is my love among the maidens."

Worried that your blooms or sash won't match your dress? Lauren will send you free fabric samples to ensure the perfect match.

Lauren has also just introduced veil kits. These all-inclusive kits are perfect for the DIY bride who knows what she wants and is a little crafty too. They include all materials and beautiful illustration and instruction to help you create the perfect veil. The kits range from $27-$56- waaaay less expensive than the bridal boutique.

....and now for the giveaway!

One lucky winner will receive a small magnolia silk flower (seen here with a large magnolia).

To enter, just visit HOUSEofLOVELY.com, and leave a comment on this blog post about your favorite item.

You will also get an additional entry if you link to HOUSEofLOVELY.com or this blog post on Facebook.

Contest ends Monday, April 2 at 10:00 p.m!
