Audrey Kate may be one of the sweetest newborns I've ever photographed. She remained perfectly content for such a long time, and it was so wonderful to me to get to see her parents (my friends, Matt and Courtney) taking such sweet care of her. I traveled to Dallas to get to see her during her first couple weeks of life- and this little girl is such an angel! Thanks, Matt and Courtney for letting me come down to capture your perfect gift from God!

So I've read on several photography forums and blogs how it's NOT ok to innundate your blog readers with personal photos of your family during your slow months. Well, this post is here to prove I really don't care! Here are some photos of bath time at our house- which I dare say is Knox's favorite time of day.

P.S. I have a few more "personal" posts planned for the next week or so- since we are going on a CRUISE with Shawn's family (woo-hoo!). It was our Christmas gift to each other so we have been anticipating it for at least a year. Yes, we are taking the babe, and yes, I am actually considering strapping him to one of those kid leashes. Just kidding. Sort of.

The other day I was going to get Knox out of his crib since he'd woken up from his nap and I saw this...

It was pretty adorable. So, with the voices of certain friends ringing in my head ("You must make sure you photograph your own family"), we had a little photo session, and I think these may be some of my favorites to date.

These two little chiclets popped out about a month ago.

This smile tells me that he's a good natured boy- melts my heart every time.

He is officially on the crawl! I can hardly keep up with him, haha.

Matthew and Kaci are the perfect example of why I love my job- they are super fantastic people that I may have never met were it not to photograph them! I loved getting to talk with them- and we have so many things in common. Seeing their excitement over their coming little one was so much fun- and I can't wait to meet the little guy or girl!

They brought a few adorable things from the nursery to incorporate and of course I was gushing over each piece. I forgot to write down the maker of the quilt they had, but it was adorable!

We decided we'd held Kaci's tummy enough, so...

I got to photograph Berklee at 6 days old- and she was such a tiny little treasure! After photographing her big sis, Anslee, when she was brand new, I was super excited to meet the new addition to the family. She is just as sweet!

We shot a similar image of Anslee- so now here is Berklee's!

Their bathroom had some amazing light- so that is where we ended up. Berklee is actually in the bathtub! Haha!

A while back I auctioned off a couple of sessions to benefit our church- and this was the second of the two! Little Caleb was born just one month ago and was so sweet the entire time we photographed him, along with his big sister, Rylee. It was a great session. Here are a few of my faves!

The West Texas wind is slowly becoming my friend...

Rylee had a little friend with her, so we grabbed a few of them together- this reminds me of growing up so much!

Introducing Mr. Whitaker Thomas, or Whit! This little guy was welcomed home just last week after spending some time in the NICU at the hospital. Thankfully, he is perfectly healthy and his parents are so glad to be at home with him. Whit was such a trooper through his whole shoot, and you can already tell he has the sweetest personality. Matt + Brooke's home is beautifully decorated, so there was no lack of places to shoot. I'm inspired to re-do my bedroom now!

Notice the "I Love You" symbol? He's a genius. :)

This is Paisley. She was so patient and careful with little Whit.

Towards the end of our shoot, he was just plum tuckered out- so much that he hardly noticed being moved at all!
