Love, love, love these guys. I got to do a previous session with them for their Save the Date cards, and I was so looking forward to their Engagement Session. Of course, the day of their shoot, the West Texas winds decided to blow- hard- leaving us with a brown sky and the need for some windblock. Thankfully, Alan + Emerald trusted me and I just love the images we got! They'll be getting married in Cancun next month and I'm so excited for them!

Guess what day they are getting married? :)

These two are absolutely perfect for each other. They met during their days at Vernon College- he was playing baseball and she was on the softball team. A couple of years later, they ended up at Texas Tech, and Casi moved in with my little sister, Layne. She has been my intern for the past few months and such a blessing to us! Casi is one of those people you can just count on. She's very fun, faithful and hardworking, and from what I know of Jordan he is the same way. Can't wait to see them get married next August!

P.S. Casi, you are gorgeous!

Oh my goodness, these two- I just loved shooting with them so much! Right from the start it was like we were on the same page, and their session went so smoothly. Exactly the kind of experience I'd want for every couple. They're temporarily in Lubbock for law school but will be headed back to the Austin area to get married! I loved so many of the images we shot- get ready for my favorites!

Aaron + Melissa • Engagement • Lubbock, TX

These two have roots in Lubbock but came up from Dallas to shoot their engagement session- thankfully, we had a beautiful day and they were up for anything! I can't wait to shoot their wedding this May- knowing them, it will be a lot of fun filled with family and friends. 

We began our shoot in a dirty alley- no, I am not kidding. The light there was terrific- and they totally worked it!

Erik + Courtney will be getting married soon on the island of Grand Cayman, and while I don't get to be there to photograph it, I was lucky they called me to shoot their engagement session. We had a very nice morning on the Texas Tech campus- the Matador statue had been freshly wrapped for the game, and it's finally cooling off around here! These two met in law school, and after being friends for a while decided it was time to date. The rest is history!

I was so excited to hang out with Tyler and Mary Kate before their wedding in November. They are both super cool and easy to talk to. We had a beautiful day to shoot their engagement session, which began at Texas Tech, where Tyler proposed. This was also the day I realized Lubbock actually has a rush hour- it took us way longer than it should have to get to our next location- but it was totally worth it! Thanks so much you guys- I had a great time!

Don't their names just sound like there should be a movie about them? I met with these two about shooting their wedding not long ago, and left really, really hoping they would book me. :) They did, and I'm so excited to be shooting their wedding at Spirit Ranch this July! We shot their session on a gorgeous morning and incorporated Alex's dog, Jovii. Here are some of my favorites:

Randy and Brittany have got to be one of the couples I feel like I've connected the most with. They are both very friendly, inviting people who really have a passion for what they do. These two are both teachers at an at-risk middle school- it's where they met and has become such a huge part of their relationship as they invest in the kids there. We had such a great time at their photoshoot- and where did we start but the place that began it all...the classroom!

We had an all-access pass to the building, so we headed over to the auditorium...and then the gym.

kris + jessica • engagement • lubbock, tx

I'm so excited to share Kris + Jessica's engagement session with you! These two are the type of couple I hope I'm cool enough to hang out with. :) After I initially met with them I had to hold back a desperate "pick me! pick me!" before I left. Wait...I may have actually said that. Either way, I'm super excited to work with them. Kris and Jessica are both so easy to talk to and were so patient with the crazy Lubbock wind. By the end of the shoot, the cold wind had turned into warm, buttery light and that makes for one happy photographer.
